Multicultural Case Conceptualization NEW

Dear Colleague,

Do you feel like something was missing in your multicultural training? I often hear from practitioners that their multicultural training expanded their self-awareness, but left them with over-generalized information about cultural communities and few concrete strategies for working with diverse clients.

Are you ready to expand your multicultural competence and, specifically, your ability to develop more personalized counseling interventions that speak to your client’s unique worldview? Join me as I share the basics of multicultural case conceptualization. In this session I introduce a conceptual approach to multicultural counseling, one that avoids stereotypes and honors the unique values of clients. Based on this approach, I describe strategies for understanding your client’s worldview, the importance of considering the etiology of a client’s presenting problem, and how to use this information to develop a counseling intervention specific to your client’s cultural values and presenting concern.

Viewers will leave this session with the knowledge and skills that will aid them in serving diverse clients in a more responsive manner. Additionally, participants will receive a multicultural case conceptualization guide to help you with implementation.

I hope you can join me for this dynamic presentation,

Carlos P. Hipolito-Delgado, Ph.D.
