Mike Garrison Secretary

Mike Garrison, LPC, NCC, is the owner of Garrison Counseling PLLC, a private practice serving adults across Colorado with a focus on men’s mental health. He helps men navigate depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and performance issues through an integrative, client-centered approach. His work is rooted in creating a space where clients can gain clarity, build resilience, and engage more fully in their lives—both personally and professionally.

Before entering the counseling field, Mike spent over two decades in leadership and marketing roles in the financial and media industries. As a Regional Vice President for Fortune 500 firms and later President of a Denver-based publishing company, he honed skills in strategic planning, operations, and communication—strengths he now applies in his clinical work and in service to the counseling profession.

Mike earned his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (with honors) from Regis University and holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he studied communications and advertising.

A strong believer in service and professional advocacy, Mike values the Colorado Counseling Association’s critical role in elevating and protecting the counseling profession. As Secretary, he brings a systems-thinking mindset and a commitment to ensuring CCA remains a powerful voice for counselors across the state.
