Angela Sillas Green, MA, LPC, ADS

Angela Sillas-Green is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who received her license in 2015. Her master’s degree is in Clinical Mental Health, which she received in 2010, and a she has bachelor’s in Psychology, which she received in 2007, both from Adam State University in Alamosa, CO. She has lived in Colorado for 20 years, and has been in the behavioral health and prevention field for over 13 years.  She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and communities in various settings from non-profit and schools to private practice, with the primary focus on complex-trauma, relationships and empowerment. Angela enjoys working from a holistic, strength-based and client-centered approach. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, Synergetic Play-Therapy, Acudetox, Brain Synchronization Therapy (BST) and Anti-Oppression.

She previously served as a board member for the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) for 4 years. Three of those years she held the secretary position. In 2017, she received the Colorado Advocacy in Action (CAIA) Conference award for Outstanding Leadership in Domestic Violence Advocacy. She is also a trainer of prevention and advocacy who has presented at in-state conferences (Colorado Youth Matters Conference and Colorado Advocacy in Action) and national conferences (Arte Sana, held in San Antonio in 2017). She is an expert in Positive Youth Development (PYD) and has been a consultant with her local and the state health department. She became a PYD trainer for Pueblo County in 2018. 

Angela is passionate about social justice and supporting others to be successful. Angela is excited to provide her experience to the board of Colorado Counseling Association to further its mission by providing leadership to professionals in the field, specifically Latinx and rural practitioners. She wants to use this opportunity to voice those disparities faced by Latinx professionals, those working in rural areas, and the individuals they help.
