The RPG Metaphor NEW

Table Top Role-Playing Games (TTRPG) are immersive, collaboratively story-telling games! In these games, players are encouraged to build a character in a fantasy world, assigning these character statistics, strengths, skills, and personality traits. What if you, as a clinician, could take all of that creative “play” of these games and apply it to a client’s therapeutic work? The RPG Metaphor Activity allows any clinician to engage clients in an innovative and significant conversation, no matter how knowledgeable with role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, etc. about themselves.

Using the common language of Table Top Role-Playing Games, this activity encourages clients to immerse themselves in a fantasy realm as they explore their strengths and weaknesses, assets and barriers to counseling, support systems, and current therapeutic objectives. Not only is this activity fun and engaging, but it allows a counselor to gain valuable insight into a client’s world as early as their first working session.

Join me as I equip you with the information and tools you need to engage your clients in a fantastic therapeutic technique confidently!

This training is a 1-Hour course that walks clinicians through the use of a carefully designed workbook for clients and clinicians to use in therapy sessions. As part of this training you will receive the RPG Metaphor Activity Workbook, tips, tricks, and skills to help you engage clients in this activity, as well as ongoing resources to help you dig even deeper with your clients using this metaphor activity.
