The Colorado Counseling Association (CCA) is a state branch of the Western Region for the 55,000 member American Counseling Association (ACA).  CCA is an organization of counseling professionals who work in education, health care, residential, private practice, community agencies, government and business/industry settings.

Serving as a dynamic network of professional counselors in the State of Colorado, CCA is devoted to professional development and maintenance of high standards for those involved in the field.

Colorado Counseling Association (CCA)
The Colorado Counseling Association (CCA) is a state branch of the 47,000 member American Counseling Association (ACA). CCA is an organization of counseling professionals who work in education, health care, residential, private practice, community agencies, government, and business/industry settings. Serving as a dynamic network of professional counselors in the State of Colorado, the Association is devoted to professional development and maintenance of high standards for those involved in the counseling profession.

Through leadership training, continuing education opportunities, and advocacy services to our members, the Association provides counseling professionals opportunities to develop their skills and expand their knowledge base.  The Association is instrumental in setting professional and ethical standards for the counseling profession.  The Association is making considerable strides in accreditation, licensure, and national certification.  It also represents the interests of the profession before Congress and federal agencies.

CCA Membership Levels:

Professional members have a master’s degree or higher in counseling or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Affiliate members are persons whose interests and activities are consistent with those of the Association, but who are not qualified for Professional membership.

Student members are persons enrolled at least half-time in a program in counseling or closely related field (as defined by the school’s criteria) in a college or university counseling program.

Retired members are those persons who have been Professional or Regular members and who are no longer actively employed.

Colorado Career Development Association (CCDA)
The CCDA is a state affiliate of the National Career Development Association (NCDA), and a division of the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA). Our organization exists to serve those who have an interest in career and workforce development issues in Colorado. This encompasses a broad community of practitioners in many different arenas. Career and workforce development professionals have many different titles, including career counselor, career coach, guidance counselor, school-to-career specialist, career development facilitator, case manager, employment specialist, and HR specialist.
