Leadership Opportunities
CCA has numerous opportunities for you to contribute to the Counseling Profession. Many of the divisions are recruiting board members to help guide and set policy for the next year. If you have a particular interest in a division contact the division president via email. Email addresses are located on the CONTACT US page. We welcome your interest and involvement!

If you are a long distance away from Denver, consider the possibility of helping develop a CCA chapter in your area. Contact Ken Norem if you would like to explore this possibility.

There are also opportunities to serve on committees. The names of the standing committees are included in the BYLAWS Section. The responsibilities of each committee member position are included in the POLICIES AND PROCEDURE MANUAL.

If you are interested in writing, consider contributing to the CCA Newsletter.  To review archived newsletters click here. Publication deadlines and guidelines for publishing can be found here (bottom of the page).  Contact Lynda Kemp our newsletter editor to submit an article.

 Graduate Student Information

Welcome graduate students! CCA is undergoing many exciting changes and is seeking input and involvement from grad students throughout the state. This is an exciting time within the organization and a great opportunity for you to get involved in your state organization. Networking and leadership opportunities abound!

For graduate student contacts  click here  and find the graduate contact person for your school listed in the Graduate Contact Person portion of the menu.

If you don't have a graduate contact person at your university and you would be willing to serve in that capacity, please e-mail the graduate liaison Kirk Johnson and let him know.

Professors:
Grad student liaisons represent their respective student body on the CCA governing council. Our liaisons also act as a contact point to distribute information from CCA about upcoming events, the CCA newsletter, and important legislation. The grad student liaison for your university is available to talk about CCA during new student orientation or during classes. The liaisons are the student voice back to the CCA and they bring new ideas, issues of interest, and fresh ideas about programs and opportunities CCA can provide to benefit graduate students in counseling programs throughout the state. Please contact Kirk Johnson if you have a student at your school who is be interested in serving as a CCA student liaison. Or, contact Kirk if you'd like to have a student liaison visit your class.
